Wooden Floor Sanding Rochester Kent
We were asked to sand and re-oil all wooden floors in this lovely house in Rochester in Kent. The existing floor was a pine floor which had been under carpet for a number of years and just needed bringing back to its former glory including some repairs and some gap filling.
We started off with all required repairs. Luckily there were enough spare boards for us to use. Once all the repairs were finished we carried on with the sanding. As there was no previous finish on the floor we sanded all floors with a 50 grit sanding belt. The stairs were sanded using a 60 grit disc. Before the final belt sand we carried out all the gap filling with pine wood slivers and where the gaps were smaller than 3mm we used resin and saw dust from the sanding procedure. All floor were finally sanded to a smooth, fine finish. All residue surface was removed using a vacuum and tack mop. A total of two coats of Junckers Rustic Oil was applied. Once the Junckers Rustic Oil was dry we applied Junckers Maintenance Top Oil for protection.
From start to finish the service Conrad and his team provided us with was a professional one and the after care has been without fault. Conrad provided us with a detailed and competitive quote prior to work commencing ensuring we understood the process fully. The job they have completed on our floors of sanding, filling and oiling is of a high standard, including the more challenging areas such as our stairs and loft room. We are very pleased with the results and happy that we have been able to find this skilled company to bring our georgian floors back to life. Would highly recommend. – Daniel W. via Google+
