Conservatory Wooden Floor Sanding Ardleigh Essex
We were asked by the client to sand and re-apply a lacquered floor finish
This conservatory pine wooden floor in a lovely house in Ardleigh, Essex was in need of a sand and re-finish. Due to wear and tear but also due to moisture ingress and pipe leaks the floor looked tired, worn and dirty. We sanded the floor from 50 grit as the boards were cupped from moisture. The floor was finished on a 100 grit belt and the edges on the same grit to make the floor uniform. The floor was then thoroughly vacuumed to remove any surface dust. Using a roller we applied one coat of Junckers Baseprime solvent/alcohol based primer and left it to dry. As Baseprime can raise the grain of the wood we de-nibbed the floor to a smooth finish. To finish off we apply two coats of Junckers High Performance Commercial water based polyurethane lacquer in semi-gloss.
